Nestled in the foothills of Muckish mountain in the Donegal Gaeltacht on the Wild Atlantic Way, the Song House is an oasis of calm, a place to reconnect with the essentials in life. Surrounded by nature and with spectacular views, it is a creative space available to hire for residential retreats (it sleeps up to 14), or as a base for family holidays. It has a beautiful workshop space overlooking the mountain, and is surrounded by an organic garden, available tor guests.

Candy Verney is a choir director who for the last 20 years has been building communities through song, facilitating thousands to find their voice.

This Donegal cottage was originally restored and named The Poets’ House, and was a centre of literary activity for over 20 years, with regular visitors including the legendary Seamus Heaney.

5 years ago, when the opportunity of a life time came her way, Candy acquired the house and has since converted it into a comfortable, sustainable and beautiful house with productive organic gardens.

Are you attracted to come, but don’t know where to start? We can help you. Whether it is visiting ancient sites, walking over the mountains, or inviting in poets and singers to give workshops, we can sort the details and hold your hand, so that you and your group have a trip of a lifetime.
