Christmas Celebration

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us for a truly memorable evening at our Christmas Gathering in Kees Hotel last night.

It was truly incredible to see so many of our esteemed members in attendance and to have the privilege of hearing the inspiring story of James and Moira from Sliabh Liag Distillers.

Moira and James have embarked on an extraordinary journey together, having travelled the world and gained experience in diverse industries such as nursing, tea and coffee farming, and marketing luxury drinks for renowned companies. They have now chosen Donegal, the ancestral land of James, to create opportunities and establish an international spirits business. Their mission is to revive the distilling heritage of Donegal and introduce exceptional spirit brands that will redefine the Irish spirits landscape.

Moira, the creative force behind An Dúlamán Gin, has poured her heart and soul into crafting a remarkable gin that beautifully represents the essence of the Donegal Coast. Her dedication and talent have been recognised with prestigious nominations as Distiller of the Year and Innovator of the Year at the Icons of Gin awards.

James, an avid lover of Donegal, is a visionary whiskey enthusiast and proudly holds the title of Keeper of the Quaich. His passion for whiskey has led him to become the Chair of the Irish Whiskey Association.

We would like to extend special thanks to our sponsors, Local Enterprise Office, ETB, ATU, and McElhinneys, for their invaluable support. We are also deeply grateful to our dedicated voluntary committee and our esteemed Ambassadors, Trish, Deirdre McGlone, and Evelyn McGlynn, for their support.

The evening was wonderfully opened by our President, Larissa Feeney, setting the tone for a joyous and uplifting event. Thanks to MC Trish Hegarty. We would also like to express our appreciation to Celine McGlynn from Finn Valley Voice ,Laura McMonagle from the Donegal News and Rachel McLaughlin Donegal Women for their coverage of the event.

Wishing each and every one of you a truly wonderful Christmas filled with joy, peace, and happiness. May this festive season bring you a well-deserved break to recharge for the year ahead.
