Donegal Women in Business Network hosted their first Countywide Coffee Morning today in six venues all over Donegal. Bundoran, Donegal Town, Killybegs, Letterkenny, Dunfanaghy and Buncrana.

All the amazing venues donated their space and delicious coffee and homebakes for the network event, and in return a generous amount of money was raised for local charities.

The turnout exceeded expectations and Jo Daly president of the network said
“We decided to visit the various geographical areas in the county to introduce the Donegal Women in Business Network to all women with an interest in business in the county and let them know the value of our networking and how we can support them as members”

Jo also went on to thank each of the venues for their support in this countywide coffee morning event

The charities supported from today’s event are
Liquid Therapy, The Mullan Hope Centre, Alzheimer’s Association of Ireland, Donegal Hospice and Bluestack Special Needs Foundation.

With over 200 members, the Donegal Women in Business Network was created to support all women who work in business – whether you are running your own company, working for a firm or organisation, or thinking of starting an enterprise. The Network is all about helping our members succeed. It supports members by:

• Giving shared learning and best practice through regular seminars and workshops
• Providing opportunities for businesses to promote themselves
• Being a source of information
• Organising networking events
• Enabling members to build up useful business contacts

They also run a number of seminars/workshops throughout the year, and like today they are keen to support non-profit and community groups.
