Laoighseach (it rhymes with ‘Taoiseach’) Ní Choistealbha is originally from Lifford in East Donegal attended NUI Galway from the years 2012-2017. She now works as a Research Assistant in the same institution.
Laoighseach has received several awards and hosted the Union of Students in Ireland first Language Conference in Queen’s University Belfast and stood as manager over an LGBT+ dictionary project which garnered the organisation a European Language Label award.
A native Irish speaker who has 20 year’s experience in teaching adults and has taught in various academic institutions, businesses and public offices.
Caitlín’s approach to promoting Irish is to inform speakers in a relaxed and informal manner. She positively and patiently encourages participants to practice and enjoy speaking Irish. Tá spraoi sa Ghaeilge.
