Based in the CoLab Letterkenny, I am a marketing nerd who loves to create and share content for brands to help them reach the right people and get return on their investment through targeted social media marketing and public relations strategies. I strive to deliver the very best for my diverse clients – and promoting good people, places and brands is at the heart of what I do.
It’s been a few months since I made the move to self-employment, and the Donegal Women in Business Network was behind me before I’d even made my new business official. My ‘soft launch’ of sorts happened when I attended the Network’s Connect To Grow Conference in the beautiful Harvey’s Point Hotel in September. I looked after the ‘Digital Corner’ offering digital marketing advice to the wonderful women in attendance; the sense of community in the room was comforting, and hearing from the other Donegal women heading up their own SMEs was inspiring and a very motivating way to start my own self-employed journey.
I also work with some lovely people and the friendships and experiences that we all share are highlights too which keeps me feeling extremely positive and excited about my business!
In addition to running my own business, I also deliver a Marketing Practice with Digital Skills course in Rossan College, and this academic strand to my work is important to me, as I want to empower people to market themselves as confidence can be an issue. Our humble nature in Donegal to self-deprecate (whilst endearing) needs to be pushed aside when it comes to our businesses as we have such good stories to tell. I am so proud to live and work in Donegal and work with the innovators and creators in our beautiful county.
Next for Moss Marketing is my podcast ‘The Moss Podcast’ launching very soon, which will help share those great stories we have in our county, and country – and further the conversation around branding and marketing ourselves, and exploring the purpose behind why we all do what we do, in business, and life!
Can’t wait to launch the first few episodes, and here’s hoping some network members will feature on the podcast too in the not so distant future!
